A WEEKEND IN BELGIUM

Belgium wasn't necessarily a country on my wish-list to visit nor Dominic's so the decision was quite spontaneous
as all I ever seem to think about is travelling to paris or new york, pretty much what every blogger dreams of! I
wanted this trip to Belgium to be something a bit different, somewhere we have never had in mind and something
we didn't know what to expect just to give it a little bit more excitement. So of course I chose to visit the city of
Brussels - The capital of Belgium!

2 places you have to visit in brussels... The Grand Place - also known as Grand square or Grand market. It's the
most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in brussels, it really is a must! Surrounded by the
most incredible architecture. genuinely am shocked by how stunning the square is, normally in an iconic place
theres always something that lets it down such as litter or lack of cafes but here - not one thing. It is also considered
as one of the most beautiful squares in Europe... this statement is honestly no lie!

The second of the 2 is - Boulevard De Waterloo. If you're a shopping fanatic like me you will not regret visiting this
luxury shopping area, with its ice cream parlours, tea rooms and don't forget the designer boutiques. Starting from
Tiffany & Co, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Christian Louboutin, Gucci, Prada, Versace and Giorgio
Armani to name just a few.

Speaking of designer... Belgium is well known for it's luxury boutiques, along with Belgium chocolate of course!
and beer! There are over 800 kinds of beers made in the country. Jean Neuhaus invented the pralines chocolate in
brussels in 1912 and Belgium is renowned for its bakeries. P.s the waffles are to die for.

And did you know the Belgian motorway system is the only man-made structure visible from the moon (at night,
due to the lights all along the motorway network). The worlds richest girl lives in brussels (Athina Onassis Roussel
De Miranda, granddaughter and sole heir of Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis) and Europe's tallest man is
Belgian!

While visiting Belgium, after the important things are done like emptying your purse, spending your lifes savings on
designer handbags! Obviously you'll be very keen to fill your stomach. Our favourite - The hard rock cafe is just a
ten minute walk from Boulevard De Waterloo back down to The Grand Place square if you fancy something greasy
and fatty! or if you're exausted from shopping all morning and don't want that far of a walk then just take a second
to turn your head from the beautiful accessories in Chanel (It's difficult I know!) take a look across the street in front
and you'll see a row of stunning restaurants and cafes, such as the M&S cafe something we all know! The restaurant
by Pierre Balthazar, Crystal Lounge, Cospaia, Brussels Grill and much more.

I hope this post has given you an insight to the City of Brussels and thank you so much for reading.
